DJ MALECAVIAR is a Cincinnati‑based producer and DJ who’s been playing instruments since age 7 and crafting beats since 16. After Bonnaroo’s cancellation in July 2025, he shifted from pure production into a fully realized DJ/visual artist, blending music with video editing, game‑animation aesthetics, and a love of sci‑fi and anime. His sets fuse English‑forward selections with Latin and Arabic textures, and his catalog ranges from lofi hip hop and dubstep to techno and tech house, including Arabic/English tech‑house remixes. MALECAVIAR’s rooms are intentionally inclusive and safe: all are welcome.
Artist Statement
I’ve been chasing sound since childhood—first as a kid learning instruments, then as a teenager producing trap beats past midnight. When Bonnaroo was canceled in July 2025, it became a turning point: I stepped fully into DJing and began building a world where music, motion graphics, game‑engine vibes, sci‑fi, coding, and anime collide. The result is a performance that’s as visual as it is sonic—deep bass, atmospheric textures, and narrative flow.
My sets are rooted in familiar English tracks to keep crowds connected, then I weave in Latin percussion and Arabic melodies to keep everyone alert, curious, and moving. I produce Arabic/English tech‑house remixes and originals across lofi hip hop, dubstep, techno, and tech house—bridging cultures and scenes while keeping the dance floor grounded.
